Climate change is reshaping our world, and winter most of all. At HAGAN, the preservation of our environment shapes every decision we make — not only because our sport depends on it, but because it’s the right thing to do.

When it comes to climate protection, we can achieve more together. HAGAN has partnered with Protect Our Winters Austria — contributing both financially and as a communication partner.
Together we work to educate and motivate the HAGAN community to use the mountains responsibly. We’re convinced that together we can climb any peak.
Cleaner production, from the heat source up.
Production, transport and logistics generate significant CO₂ emissions. The factories where our skis are made have been converted from oil heating to bio-wood-chip heating — saving one million liters of light oil every year and sharply reducing CO₂ output.
The ski presses are heated by a closed thermal-oil circuit fed by the biomass power station, and cooled by a closed water circuit. The heat from that cooling water isn’t wasted: it’s collected and used to warm around 50 nearby buildings.
A large part of what we make is produced directly in Austria — not only our skis, but our skins and poles too. Our ski touring boots are made in Italy.
Our pin bindings are built in cooperation with ATK®, the world’s leading maker of milled-aluminum lightweight touring bindings. ATK® scores on sustainability as well as precision: 95% of its raw-material suppliers sit within a 50 km radius of the factory, and CNC manufacturing produces almost no waste.
And with our partnership with Spanish supplier Nzero, HAGAN now offers a 100% organic, fully paraffin-free ski and skin wax that still meets every performance standard.
The most sustainable ski is the one you don’t replace.
We build products that last. As touring gear gets ever lighter, we keep pushing durability standards so our customers get optimal performance for many years — and we were the first ski company to warranty products for five years rather than two.
