Boots & Skins
How do I thermofit my boot liners?
Your local retailer can also thermofit liners for you — find one via the store locator.
How do I get the best performance from my climbing skins?
In cold conditions, warm the skin against your body. Keep the running surface clear of snow — dry and warm it with the included fleece skin bag — then press the skin firmly onto the ski.
In warm or wet conditions, dry the ski thoroughly with the fleece skin bag, and let the adhesive layer dry too, either in the sun or by dabbing it with the bag.

My skins stick together so strongly I can’t separate them. What do I do?
This isn’t an issue with HAGAN’s hybrid glue skins. If you have older adhesive skins, always use the included protective foil — not the foil attached to new skins. Cut the protective foil into two lengths, use one piece per skin, and fold it in the middle.
My skins keep glopping. What can I do?
In extreme conditions any skin can glop occasionally. All HAGAN skins are treated to be water-repellent in manufacturing to prevent it, but that impregnation doesn’t last forever.
We recommend applying HAGAN Dry Climb skin treatment every few tours. Heating the treated skin at home with a hairdryer prolongs the effect, improves glide and makes the skin glop-proof.
It’s also worth carrying HAGAN hard wax on tour — rub it on in the direction of the mohair grain if you need it. It works on ski bases too.
