Grom 5 Junior Binding
Junior tourers getting a real binding rather than a scaled-down one, with room to grow into it.
Their First Backcountry Setup. Built As Seriously As Yours.
The Grom 5 is the binding that makes family touring possible. It's a purpose-built junior tech binding designed with the same materials and engineering standards as every other binding in the HAGAN lineup, because a young skier's safety deserves the same attention as anyone else's. It is not a scaled-down adult binding or a compromised entry-level product, and it shows in the details.
The ultra-low release range is calibrated to protect smaller, lighter skiers from injury without releasing unpredictably on terrain they can comfortably handle. Fifty millimetres of boot length adjustment means the binding grows with your child across multiple seasons instead of needing replacing every year. Flat and raised walking modes keep the skin track manageable for smaller legs, and the aluminum alloy, POM, and stainless steel construction holds up to the kind of enthusiastic, uninhibited skiing kids do best.
For parents who tour and want to bring the next generation along for the best days of the season, this is the binding that makes it happen. Pair it with the Boost Junior for a complete setup, or take the whole thing as the Grom Bundle.
Specifications
Choosing a brake: pick a width equal to or slightly wider than your ski’s waist. A brake narrower than the ski will not clear it.
Shipping & Returns
Orders ship from our US warehouse. Skis ship oversized, so allow a little extra transit time. Full details on our shipping page.
Returns: Unused gear can be returned within 30 days. Once bindings have been mounted, skis cannot be returned. Please confirm your length and brake width before mounting We reccomend brakes be >2mm wider than the skis midpoint.
Warranty: Three years against manufacturing defects, extended to five years when you register your gear. See warranty & returns.
Mounting & Setup
We offer professional binding mounting when you buy a ski and binding together. Add it to your order and we'll mount and test before shipping.
If you're mounting elsewhere, bring your boots. Sole length sets the adjustment, and release values should be set and checked by someone qualified.
This is a tech (pin) binding and needs boots with tech inserts. Nearly all modern touring boots have them; alpine boots don't.
