Pure 85
Traditional touring at an even pace, where the climb and the descent are treated as equals.
A Timeless Ski. No Pretense, No Complication.
There is something timeless about the Pure 85, a ski that embodies the traditional touring experience without unnecessary complexity. At 85mm underfoot it treats the ascent and the descent as equals, neither rushing you to the top nor overwhelming you on the way down. Smooth and rhythmic on the skin track, predictable and composed on the descent, and genuinely enjoyable from start to finish regardless of what the conditions happen to be doing.
A Karuba and Poplar core gives it a classic, damp feel underfoot that absorbs the small imperfections of real backcountry snow without drama, and the semi-sidewall construction keeps the edge reliable when the terrain asks for it.
This is the ski for the tourer who appreciates the simple pleasure of a well-executed day in the mountains. The long skin track, the quiet summit, the steady descent back to the trailhead, and gear that honors that experience rather than overcomplicating it.
Last of the line. The Pure Series is being phased out for 2027, and the current price reflects that rather than any change in the ski. We'll sell what's in the warehouse and then it's done. If this is the ski you want, this is the season to get it.
