Amazing race ski!

From groomers to ;moguls to backcountry and off-piste this race ski eats up what ever terrain you feed them. They hold an incredible turn at high speeds, float well with the mount position, and, best of all, look cool ;) I run pretty tall and heavy (as far as a skimo racer is concerned) and these skis have no issues supporting my weight. They've never felt like giving out in a turn, they always want to rebound into the next. I've been on multiple skimo skis from other brands in recent years and no other model holds a candle to the all round terrain and consitions performance of the Ultra 65, these are simply the best for it all.

I've skied 2 iterations of the dynafit DNA and the dynastar Pierra Menta. The ultra 65 takes the cake. Holds an edge on hard pack better than either dynafit but is more skiable than the PM. A fun hard charging race ski. Highly recommend

I just did the Gothic Mountain Tour yesterday and carried 2 sets of skins. I only used one set...the Hagan Hybrids. They were excellent the entire time and did not fail even in the worst white out, sugar snow, cold nasty, side hill, steep conditions. These are bomber fast skins. Thanks!

After 4 outings with new Ultra Hybrid skins I'm impressed with the new base technology. Easy on and off and full grip on steep (cold) terrain. No more sticky glue skins for me. Transitions just like the pros. Sort of. Hagan has done it again. Congratulations. John S.

Hagen Race Skins have a reputation for the best glide, lightest weight, and of course climbing. The new vacuum glue system makes transitions easier and faster. Simple off and on without the traditional pull. We've tested these at -5 to 40 degrees and they are flawless. With a little bit of Skin Wax these skate up hill fast.

I liked them enough that I bought a second pair after snapping one hiking.

I've been a devout pink skin user in my skimo career of four years now. I won't name the brand but it doesn't take a degree to find out which company it is. Anyways, those pink skins are great for about a half season of heavy usage and then require a full reglue. If they get snow on the glue in the field, try as I may, but I've never been able to revive one and have it last more than a few minutes. The Hybrid 65 skin on the other hand has lasted the test of time. I've been rocking a few pairs for a full season of intense racing and have had no issues. I use the provided wipe every few months to clean the glue in one swift wipe, let it dry a few minutes, and it's as new as if it's out of the box. I've never had one blow or fail but snow doesn't even stick to the glue. The glue composition in my opinion is much easier to keep warm and thus ensure a good grip. The fur grip is phenonemal, never had bad slippage. These skins have helped me climb monstorous peaks and stand on podiums. They're easy to take care of and are miles ahead of the competitors technology.

Super user friendly. Much easier to transition than my other bindings (trofeo). As always Mike from Hagan sent them to me fast AND with a hand written note. Top notch.

Hagan is my go to for ski-mo. I am on my fourth pair.

I am not fond of leaving reviews but my experience with Hagans service and more importantly the ski itself warrants one.
Before purchasing, I've never skied skis < 80 mm wide and was looking at a few different options across other brands. Reached out to Hagan USA through channels listed on their website regarding Ultra 65 topics and comparisons to other brands similar skis. This quickly got me:
1.,In contact with a real person (even a phone number to discuss)
2.,No BS honest answers
Now the skis. Again, first time skiing this class of ski. Previous daily driver are stiff 80mm wide skis and was worried about the downhill performance on something smaller, I was wrong. These are a blast! Took one run to find that balance point and now, skis predictably and honestly fun.
If you're on the edge of this class of ski or purchasing Hagan products for the first time, I suggest just going for it.

The best poles for SKIMO I have seen so far.

Any skimo athlete is going to need a braking system to compete in sanctioned races, and it is so much better to get this integrated set up than it is to rig up a separate braking system. You will hardly notice any change to your transition with these.

If you're not racing and using these to ski lighter gear on backcountry lines, you'll be psyched to have a brake keeping your ski from ripping down the hill when stepping in.

I was suspicious of the glue but gained confidence over many days in cold and grainy snow without skin failure. Much easier than a normal race skin to pull apart.

The Ultra 65 gives one of the best ski performances of all the skimo race gear on the market. The edging feels more solid that its peer set. I was surprised at the power transfer throughout the turn for a skimo ski, and the tip rocker gives a bit more float than you'd expect. While skimo race skis have a reputation of being noodles, the Ultra 65 actually has some nice energy to it.

I had only had race-like bindings so was a little nervous with complexity of ski brake (I realize that sounds a little funny). But these bindings are really light and I didn't have any troubles with them including in lots of powder where i would have expected some jamming to occur.

Great pole. I use them all the time - skimo mode to big days in the backcountry. Would recommend 100%

I chose these skins for the Grand Traverse and they worked great. Very fast and solid grip!

I've used lots of race skins over the years. This is my favorite based on glide, stick to the ski, and traction on steeps.

These are the best race skins I have ever used. They rip like a dream. And kick and glide like the rest. Awesome

Trim to fit feature is nice. I have not had a chance to use these that much yet but so far they seem great!

Best deal when you are looking for a pair of super light and stiff carbon poles. The skimp basket is a game changer. Mine weighed 270 grams per pole (size 140 cm). By contrast my ski trap puma (feather in Italian) weighed 320 grams (size 135 cm). Did I mention that the graphite black finish with the yellow/green accents look fantastic?
