Description:

The Ultra Carbon pole is engineered for athletes who count every gram. Its 100% carbon fiber shafts weigh just 68 grams per meter, delivering an exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio for efficient, powerful pole plants. Lightweight foam grips with 24mm straps are warmer and more comfortable than plastic, while large backcountry nordic baskets minimize punch-through in soft snow and a shaped, durable tungsten carbide tip reduces bounce on hard snow. Developed and produced in Austria, these are among the lightest competition poles available — at just 125 grams in the 130cm length. Please note: as dedicated race poles, they do not conform to any DIN/ISO standard and are not covered by warranty against breakage.

Don't hike with them

I liked them enough that I bought a second pair after snapping one hiking.

Good tip! Yes, these poles are not meant for hiking in rocky terrain. However, they are exceptionally light, stiff and durable in snow!

Terrific super light and stiff poles

Best deal when you are looking for a pair of super light and stiff carbon poles. The skimp basket is a game changer. Mine weighed 270 grams per pole (size 140 cm). By contrast my ski trap puma (feather in Italian) weighed 320 grams (size 135 cm). Did I mention that the graphite black finish with the yellow/green accents look fantastic? Plus the price is a total bargain. Please join me supporting the business of Michael Hagen and his family. Their customer service and support is superb and a total rarity these days.

Ultra Carbon Poles

I've been using these carbon lightweights for about a year now and love them for my resort uphill workout - they are unbelievably light and feel good hammering up a hard packed trail. I use my traditional extendable poles with bigger baskets on side country and backcountry days.

Exactly what I expected

I was looking for a lightweight pole to improve speed and be able to travel on both packed and powder conditions. This pole performed well in all conditions and the only slow variable was my own performance. Grab this pole to maximize your speed in all conditions.

Incredibly light

Finally got to use the new carbon poles this week and I was amazed at how light (and fast) they are. Easy adjustment, solid basket profile. Great product.

Nice Poles

These poles are very light and feel great both while skinning and on the boot pack. I've had a couple issues with the straps slipping out, but they're very easy to pop back in, even while on the go. Could be user error though. I haven't yet had time to do further research.

Indefectible

The Ultra Carbon Pole is exactly that's Ultralight, unmolested raw carbon, with an indefectible dense foam grip & brethren wrist strap are both minimalist in design, yet completely functional! Theres not a single thing that I will change with this pole and Im excited to have it as part of my quiver.

The Hagan Ultra Carbon Poles are ultra lightweight with foam grips that keep fingers warm. They make for fast ascents, and help preserve energy. Mike was so helpful in choosing the right size, and shipping was super quick. Great and knowledgeable customer service!

So light and stiff - feels like anti-gravity

I was amazed at how light these poles feel - but they are still really stiff. Comfortable handles and straps too for powerful uphill laps.

Awesome poles!

I love these poles! Used them for a race for the first time this week and I really noticed a difference between my old poles and these being so light. The reps wife helped me just before the start with folding the strap over inside the handle so that it stays locked in, so be sure to figure that out (or maybe read the directions). :)
