Perfect High Altitude Ski Mountaineering Ski

Brought these to try to ski Manaslu. At the 170cm length they are prefect for jump turning but can handle powder, crust, ice, you name it. These things are a weapon.

Hi Justin, we're thrilled to hear you're loving the ULTRA 89 for your adventures! We are bummed that the weather did not cooperate with you this time. We know you will be back! Thanks for sharing your experience, and happy skiing!

The ski that questions your quiver

I have skied these a handful of times in the past months this season, everything from 40cm of pow, punchy couloirs, and wind affected snow. These skis have done it all and have done it flawlessly. I am around 6' 1" 185-190lbs (185cm 83kg) and opted for the 178cm skis. They are quite heavily cambered and have amazing power transfer out of turns. The tips are quite wide which dramatically helps with float through powder. One thing is without a doubt, based upon the qualities of these skis for the weight they are unmatched in my opinion. Hagan is onto something and I like where it's headed.

Thanks Luke. We are glad you like them. We are on a mission to create light skis that actually ski well.

My favorite adventure skis.

I love these skis for the weight to ski ability factor. Light for long days, but absolutely still a skiing tool for any condition: Ice, deep, crap, whatever, they get you down.

Really fantastic touring ski

Really fantastic touring ski. I mounted ATK Raider 13 w/ freeride spacer on them. The setup is super light and skis very nicely. Awesome for the uphill without sacrificing on the downhill. The precut hagan skins are highly recommended and also work extremely well. I'm super stoked about this set up for bigger mountain objectives.

Wow!! Light and highly dependable on hard snow

The best touring skis I ever had (.)

Thanks Jose. Our friends at Extra Mediocre also did a review of them here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPOOEjFk1Uw&t=263s

Big objective skis

Bought these for my sole touring ski and to tackle big objectives. They are extremely efficient uphill and ski great even in pow!

We are glad you like them Josh!

Possibly the quiver killer

Mike nailed it when he suggested the Ultra 89 when I was deciding between a few pairs of skis. It's as light as many narrower skis which makes the ups nice and quick and also skis like a much wider ski than it is on the down.

Really helpful customer service and super fast shipping. Will definitely be buying from Mike and Hagan again!

Thanks Evan.  We are happy you like the Ultra 89s!

Favorite ski of all time

The Hagan 89 is the perfect ski for anyone looking for something light on the up and can rip on the down. Honestly, I love everything about this ski. The demission's are exactly what I want for anything I ski in the backcountry. I find that the 89 skis like it's a little wider without the weight!

Glad you are loving these Meredith.  Great skis for BIG Objectives like yours.  Sending you good vibes to tackle Denali!
