Which Skier Are You? Three Ways Into Ski Touring
Ask three Hagan skiers what a good day looks like and you'll get three different answers. One wants a mellow lap before the trail closes and a beer at the hut after. One wants untracked powder and a story to tell. One wants to move fast, alone, before the sun's fully up. All three are ski tourers. None of them are wrong.
That's why we didn't build one ski and call it done. We built three ways in: Adventure, All-Round, and Performance, each shaped around a different reason to go up a mountain. The standard behind all three is the same century of Austrian craft. Only the door changes.
Here's how to find yours:

All-Round: exercise for the body, quiet for the mind
If the gym has started to feel like a chore, this is where you start. All-Round is built for the days when the point is simply to move up a marked trail, at your own pace, with the kind of scenery no treadmill can offer. Gentle climbs, enjoyable descents, often on-piste or on established touring routes. It's the ski equivalent of a good long walk: good for the body, good for the head, and usually better with company.
This is also where most people should start, and where plenty of people happily stay for good. There's no shame in an All-Round life. Some of our most devoted skiers have never wanted anything else.
Those who spend their summers running or biking long before clicking into bindings find the same experience with classic touring. They feel the quiet satisfaction of a slow dopamine release from movement in the outdoors, and the good tired that comes after.
Flagship: Core Carbon 89 — light enough to make the climb easy, forgiving enough to make the descent fun, built to be the one ski you reach for on most days.

Adventure / Freeride: the descent is the reward
Some days aren't about the exercise. They're about the turns. Adventure is built for the skiers chasing untracked snow, steeper lines, and the kind of descent that's worth the whole story afterward. Wider underfoot, playful, and built to be enjoyed on the way down.
Just don't mistake this for a ski that skips the climb. Every good Adventure day still starts the same way every Hagan day starts: under your own power, one step at a time, with the mountain earning your trust before it gives up the goods. The difference is what's waiting at the top.
From mountain guides to freeride gurus, our adventure skiers will find that we have the tools to support them get after it in the backcountry. These skis are light enough for the uphill while providing the rapport for your downhill better than any downhill ski could.
Flagship: Boost 105 — wide enough for playful, powder-hungry descents, still light enough that the climb doesn't feel like the price you pay to get there.

Performance: the living and breathing discipline
And then there are the skiers for whom the mountain is the whole test, alpine judgment, awareness, fitness, technique, and the mental discipline to keep making good decisions when you're tired and the exposure is real. Performance is built for ski mountaineering and high-altitude touring: light, fast, and precise, where every gram in your pack is a decision you made on purpose.
This is the discipline the world just watched at its highest level, ski mountaineering made its Olympic debut at Milan-Cortina in February of 2026, the same sport, at its sharpest edge. Most of us aren't training for a podium. But the gear that gets a racer up a skin track in record time is built with the same obsession we put into every ski in the lineup, it's just tuned for the skiers asking the very most of it.
Hagan skimo racers all double down as some of the best mountaineers. They turn fitness and technique into a track across untracked canvases of mountain ranges. Whether training in bounds before the sun is up or chasing the moon on a mountain ridge, our performance skis will help you achieve your lightest and fastest dreams.
Flagship: Ultra 79 — our lightest, fastest ski, built for skiers who've already decided that every gram matters
Wherever you're starting, there's a door
Three pursuits, one standard. Whether your perfect day ends at the hut, in the powder, or somewhere on a ridgeline before sunrise, there's a Hagan setup built for it — and none of them ask you to be someone you're not.
